Take in Stunning Skyline Views at These Rooftop Bars in Dubai

Dubai is known for going big, and its rooftop bar scene is no exception. For front-row views of Burj Khalifa, head to At.mosphere, while the likes of The Penthouse on Palm Jumeirah’s beach strip offers scenic ocean views of the Arabian Gulf. Tapasake, which straddles the dual towers of One Za'abeel tower, offers the highest pool bar rooftop view in the world. You’ll feel as if you’re swinging from the trees at Amazónico after a cocktail or two. This gorgeous, lushly designed setting in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), offers delicious food and drinks. Head up to the rooftop terrace for amazing views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain and soak up the atmosphere and night air. Known as Paraíso Rooftop Club, you’ll enjoy the nightly resident DJ, sax and percussionist sets and lively tropical vibe. 

Traditional Latin American dishes include empanadas, ceviche guayaco made with Argentinian prawns and Al Espeto (fresh fish cooked over fire). They offer a great range of Latino inspired  cocktails like the Cathedral cocktail – a mix of Amazonian flavours including tequila, mezcal, Peruvian chicha morada, and ají panca chili.

There are many eye-catching aspects to Tapasake but possibly the most notable is the sky high, adults only infinity pool located on The Link, the dual towers of One Za'abeel tower. The longest and the highest in Dubai, the pool stretches for one hundred and twenty metres with amazing views across Dubai’s skyline. The Pool Club is accessible with a day pass (minimum spend of AED 450 for a day bed) where you can soak up the DJ vibes and sip on virgin and alcoholic cocktails, and enjoy Japanese cuisine with Mediterranean flavours.

Two recommended Shine cocktails to try are the Togarashi Chilcano - it's spicy but not overpowering with bright citrusy notes and the Curasake – a Junmai sake with mint tea, lemongrass, pineapple and lime. Favoured dishes include the Izakaya style tapas - oysters, Wagyu tataki, tacos and shrimp gyoza and the Peruvian Japanese fusion dishes like the black cod Nikkei marinated in aji amarillo (hot chili pepper) and miso. Over the weekend, enjoy a delicious pool club brunch every Saturday,  between 1-4pm.

The lounge is where you can enjoy a long list of premium spirits and stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s iconic skyline. As the evening unfolds, so too does the view and the vibe, as illuminated skyscrapers glimmer in the desert landscape and DJ sets transform the lounge into a vibrant venue. The menu leans towards modern avant-garde food and highlights include Hokkaido scallops, seabream a la plancha and truffle risotto.

Stunning ocean views over Palm Jumeirah can be found at The Penthouse on the Palm West Beach strip. The modern décor and high energy vibe make this a sought after rooftop venue for the cocktail crowd. And it’s not just known for its views, it also a hotspot for big name international DJ performances and fun ladies nights. The Penthouse offers two views of paradise – the day club and pool City View Lounge Terrace and the Marina View Bar Terrace which  offers amazing views of the Marina and is the place to be for its deep house beats and Japanese fusion menu.

Fouquet’s rooftop Le Toit is a great spot to chill out and relax with a Chablis or cocktail, while taking in the stunning Burj Khalifa nighttime views. The Parisian ambiance and chic decor is enhanced by DJ beats, crafted cocktails that celebrate art, culture, plus heritage and Michelin star French nibbles. 

L’apéro at Le Toit (Happy Hour) is from 4-8pm and Friday nights from 9 pm you can enjoy a Night Brunch. Come for the boeuf bourguignon and stay for the afterparty which includes  DJ sets and free flowing drinks that last way past midnight.

This lively bar located on the rooftop of Nakheel Mall offers stunning views of Sheikh Zayed Road and beyond. Chez Wam serves contemporary cocktails, plays retro beats and dishes up modern food by Chef Hadrien Villedieu. The restaurant’s  name is French slang for “Chez Moi”, meaning “At Mine” which is symbolic of the welcoming  atmosphere  - it’s as if, Hadrien is having you over at his house for dinner and drinks. Enjoy ‘80s and ‘90s music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at Chez Wam from 8 pm till late. These old school R&B nights offer great food and drinks coupled with nostalgic music you want to get up and dance to.  Brunch every Sunday is also another fun outing but this time featuring a sharing-style menu and a DIY Bloody Mary station!
